DeskWheel has no accounts, and we never receive the names you type.

Class lists are stored in your browser, on the device you typed them on. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Shared lists travel inside the link itself, after the # sign. That part of a web address is handled by the browser and is never sent to a server — ours included. Anyone who has the link can read the names in it, so share it the way you would share the list itself.

Timers, laps and groups are kept in your browser too, so that a reload in front of the class changes nothing.

Visits are counted without cookies and without any identifier: once a day your browser tells us the date it first visited and today’s date, which is how we know whether teachers come back. Tool use is counted as a number (“a wheel was spun”), never with its contents.

Ads keep the site free. Advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads. Embedded tools carry no ads.
